Eastside Auto Salvage Yard

The Eastside Auto Salvage Yard [1] is a junk yard located in New York that engaged in illegal toxic waste dumping on its property.

History[]

Once inhabited by the Manhattan Indians, [2] some land was later developed in New York and became the Eastside Auto Salvage Yard. Its current boss, Mr. Dunbar took part in illegal dumping at a designated waste pit in the yard. On a stormy night, a mutated Indian Earth Spirit emerged from the pit. The Ghostbusters were called in but they failed to capture it. Unknown to them, the ghost hid in Ecto-1 just as lightning struck it. The Ghostbusters later lured the possessed Ecto-1 back to the yard. Winston Zeddemore used the yard's crane to immobilize the car and disrupt its defensive electrical field. The others wrangled the ghost out of Ecto and discovered it changed back to normal. They released the spirit and it vanished.
