We should review the existing viewpoints :

What I propose is to separate the diagrams according to the user actions :

• Capture : the user wants to capture the actors and their interactions with the application
  • Package hierarchy
  • Package containment
  • Use case diagram
  • Use case/Element matrix
• Structure : the user is working on the structure of the application
  • Package hierarchy
  • Package containment
  • Component diagram
  • Composite structure diagram
  • Deployment diagram
• Implement : the user is working on the implementation of the application
  • Package hierarchy
  • Package containment
  • Class diagram
  • Object diagram
  • Sequence diagram
  • State machine diagram
  • Activity diagram
• Document : the user documents its application
  • Document table
• Extend : the user wants to extend the UML standard
  • Profile diagram
