The Barton Foundation was a colony-based organization that appears in New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

History[]

The Barton Foundation is a powerful and influential figure within the Colony Alliance, which is in conflict with the United Earth Sphere Alliance, and is headed by Dekim Barton, who is said to have played a central role in the planning of Operation Meteor, which was carried out by the Colonies Liberation Organization in A.C. 195. However, the plan at that time was triggered in a different way than the foundation (and Dekim) had envisioned, leading to the "Mariemaia Rebellion" in A.C. 196, which aimed to carry out the "True Operation Meteor". At that time, the foundation, with its financial resources, developed a new type of MS, the Serpent. They also deployed 400 of these machines, aiming to seize control of the Earth Sphere, which had abandoned its military power. However, the rebellion failed due to the active dissolution of the Gundam pilots, preventers, and others. Dekim himself was purged by his subordinates. The continuation of the foundation after that is unknown.
