Redback spider
Redback spiders are a species of common house spider,[1] so named because the female has a prominent red stripe on the abdomen.[2] They are able to temporarily paralyse their victims. They were particularly vulnerable to the Fire-Making Spell, but were resistant towards the Knockback Jinx.[3]
