Study Hall
The Study Hall was a room in Hogwarts Castle where students usually did their homework or study for their exams. It was overseen by Madam Pince. This room may have been part of the library or in close proximity to it, because books were available for study in this room and because Madam Pince oversaw the study hall.[1]
History[]
1992[]
Several students were studying here when Nearly Headless Nick and Justin Finch-Fletchley were attacked by the Basilisk. Harry Potter had left the room before the attack and, because of that, he became one of the suspects of opening the Chamber of Secrets.[1]
1994[]
By 1994, students may have stopped using this room, as, on at least one occasion, study took place in the Great Hall, overlooked by Severus Snape, Camelia, and several other faculty members.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
