Mark Consuelos, known for his roles in American Horror Story: Asylum and Riverdale, has officially joined the cast of Scream 7. He’ll play a character named Robbie—a name that fans of the franchise will recognize as a callback to Robbie Mercer, the witty film club member played by Erik Knudsen in Scream 4. Robbie now joins Mark Evans (played by Joel McHale) as another recurring name in this seventh installment.

Currently filming in Atlanta, Consuelos is no stranger to the suspenseful and intense tone of Scream. His portrayal of the calculating Hiram Lodge in Riverdale showcased his ability to embody complex and menacing characters, while his role in American Horror Story: Asylum proved he could navigate the chilling world of horror with ease.

Adding a layer of behind-the-scenes intrigue, Kelly Ripa—Consuelos’ co-host and wife on LIVE! with Kelly and Mark—recently confirmed on air that Mark has temporarily stepped away from the show to film a project in Atlanta. Co-hosts have taken over his seat while he fully immerses himself in Scream 7.
