Biographical Note
Ph.D., zoology (University of Michigan, 1964). Oakland University, professor of biology (1972-1995) and professor emeritus (1995- ). Research in molluscan neuroendocrinology and biochemistry. Daughter of physicist Samuel Goudsmit.
Scope and Contents of Collection
This collection contains correspondence and family photographs of Esther Goudsmit. The bulk of the correspondence is from her father, physicist Samuel Goudsmit, during and after his involvement with the ALSOS mission following World War II. Other correspondents include physicist George Uhlenbeck and his wife Else Uhlenbeck.
