Abstract
Myriam P. Sarachik is a Distinguished Professor of Physics at the City University of New York. Her other institutional affiliations include Bell Telephone Laboratories and International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation. In 2005, she was awarded the American Physical Society's Oliver E. Buckley Condensed Matter Prize.
