Archie Simmons (Earth-616)

Archie Simmons was an infamous, international mercenary. His weapon of choice was the gun, and had a sewed scar on his left cheek. Fellow mercenary Marc Spector had met Simmons in person in an operation in Tanzania in which Simmons used bio-weapons; eventually, Simmons forfeited that technology, in his words because it depended on where the fickle wind blows.^[1] Along with Akkad, Banning, and LeGrange, he was hired by freelance mercenary Arsenal as a part of an elite unit to give support to the rebellion against dictator Bushman in Burunda; the whole operation being secretly funded by a drug cartel. Arsenal also recruited Spector, an expert in Bushman, and had the whole merc team gather in Marseilles, France. Noticing that Spector was unconvinced, Arsenal asked Simmons to keep an eye on Spector at every moment. Simmons drew his gun to make sure that Spector didn't leave his room, but Spector ambushed Simmons, tied and gagged him, and left to check whether Arsenal's story was true. Almost immobilized, Simmons tried to attract the attention of the other mercenaries by hitting on a door with his head, but it took them the best part of an hour to notice - and when they finally heard him, Spector was back, in his secret Moon Knight identity, to batter the mercenaries. Moon Knight defeated the other mercenaries, delivering all of them (including Simmons) to the French police.^[1] The police took them to jail in a van, but Arsenal released himself and escaped; he refused to release Simmons and the other mercenaries because they have proven to be worthless.^[2]
