Captain Marvel's Suit

Origin[]

Variations[]

Mar-Vell's Suit[]

Secret Avengers Vol 1 27 Textless

Mar-Vell wore an instance of the Kree Militia Uniform as his suit. As captain, his uniform was white and green.[1] Opposing the treachery of his superiors Zarek and Yon-Rogg against the Kree Empire, Mar-Vell was honored by the Kree Supreme Intelligence to become its greatest warrior. Although still ranked as a captain, Mar-Vell was gifted the cosmically powered Nega-Bands and had his combat uniform completely retransformed. As a new Captain Marvel, the hero wore a red and black outfit displaying a golden Hala Star on its chest.[2] Ascending as the protector of the universe by the machinations of Eon, the warrior Captain Marvel had his costume slightly changed.[3] When briefly resurrected by Minister Marvel, Mar-Vell wore a version of his specially unique costume, although with the colors of his original Kree army suit.[4]

Carol Danvers' Suit[]

Captain Marvel Vol 9 3 McKelvie Variant Textless

Having decided to take over the Captain Marvel codename, Carol Danvers abandoned her Ms. Marvel's Suit and adopted a brand-new visual identity. Her military-like costume was a full-bodied suit made out of Stark-designed impermeable fabric which counted with a red sash similar to the one she previously wore. The costume also featured a collapsible helmet that echos those wore by Kree soldiers and makes outer space flight possible. When used, Danvers' hair came out of it as a mohawk. The color scheme and iconography was similar to that of Mar-Vell's, being red and navy blue. A golden Hala Star is displayed on the chest area of the costume,[5] although it has no direct ties to the Kree Empire.[6] Jamie McKelvie designed the costume.[7]
