Anderson (Representative)
Representative Anderson competed in a Senatorial race against industrialist Calvin Chadwick until the Council of Nine forced him to secede.
Biography[]
Anderson became a representative in the United States Congress for the state of California. He decided to run for a seat in the Senate, but owner of Isodyne Energy, Calvin Chadwick, also desired that position.[1]

Anderson was blackmailed by Chadwick's colleagues in the Council of Nine to leave the race for Senate, causing Chadwick to be unopposed. The Los Angeles Tribune newspaper of July 16, 1947 printed an article discussing the secession of Anderson from the election.[2]
