Iron Man: A New Hero[]

Identification[]

Naming[]

My thoughts are either Unassisted Iron Monger Defeat or Secret Identity Iron Man. I'm leaning toward the latter, but it is also true of Iron Man: I Am Iron Man! -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 16:14, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

How about something relating to the Duel Los Angeles being in the Desert instead of the city? -DavisRanger (talk) 16:25, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
It's not. The thing that's in the desert is Tony testing the Mark III armor. It's a difference because in the movie his first use of it is Gulmira. The Duel of Los Angeles is at Stark Industries like in the movie. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 05:05, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
Both of those would work, but I was also thinking about using the fact Iron Monger/Iron Monger Armor survived, like Iron Monger Alive. -DavisRanger (talk) 01:12, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
I don't think we can say that for certain. The illustration seems to have him still falling, so that's not an indicator, and the text says "He wasn't going to hurt anyone anymore." That seems like a kid-friendly way of saying he died. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 19:09, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
I'll support Secret Identity Iron Man. •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   11:34, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
Even though it applies to another book? Just making sure -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 19:09, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
Hm, on second thought... How about Mark III Desert Flight then? •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   00:02, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

I think the easiest things to name it with are Iron Man being thought dead after Gulmira and the large Arc Reactor being damaged. Maybe Arc Reactor Damaged? -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 16:14, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

Presumed Dead Iron Man? Is there another time where Iron Man is presumed dead? -DavisRanger (talk) 16:25, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
If that's the direction, then I'd rather the wording be flipped, Iron Man Presumed Dead. Although he is presumed dead after his mansion is destroyed in Iron Man 3. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 17:05, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
The Arc Reactor is also damaged in Captain America: Civil War. •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   09:30, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

How about Accused War Monger Tony Stark or Arc Reactor Damaged? -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 05:05, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Logan made a good point about the arc reactor getting damaged in Civil War. Maybe Large Arc Reactor Damaged then? -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 04:55, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
How about Destabilized Factory Arc Reactor? •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   11:29, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
I'd be alright with that. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 19:11, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

The differences listed above are the ones that are not replicated in anything I've read so far that I think were major enough to note. Maybe Interfering Asgardians? -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 05:05, 11 March 2025 (UTC)

Actually I just double checked Thor, and it also has the Asgardians have a past of protecting earth many times. Maybe then Avengers Acceptee Iron Man?
The Asgardians protect the Nine Realms, of which Midgard (Earth) is one of them. Unless this book is stating that the Asgardians made their presence known to Earth publicly prior to 2010? I would instead focus on Odin not hiding the past from Asgard as he did in the primary timeline. Proud Conqueror Odin? •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   10:47, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
Proud Conqueror Odin isn't bad, but I think I still prefer Avengers Acceptee Iron Man. It's a bigger narrative difference, especially since at the time of writing, the Asgardian conquest hadn't been established to have been a secret yet since Ragnarok hadn't come out. Tony getting accepted into the Avengers straight away would have been an active choice that Irvine made since it was changing a detail of a movie that already came out. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 04:57, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Yeah, but "Avengers Acceptee" doesn't quite cover the fact that Tony was accepted outright; it just indicates he was accepted, which he eventually was in the prime timeline. And while the author was unaware of changes that came afterwards, in terms of the canon, retcon and all, Odin being a proud conqueror is a differentiative. We are after all naming these in 2025, and therefore have the benefit of what came after to help guide our decisions. •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   11:31, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
Avengers Initiative Acceptee Tony Stark then? I don't know if I would call Odin "proud." I don't have the exact quote (had to return the book to the library), but it's more just that he was open about it. Unless that's the sense of the word in which you meant it. -38?cb=20250123225943 Jessica3801 💕💕🏳️‍⚧️ | Message WallContributions 19:13, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
I'm fine with Avengers Initiative Acceptee Tony Stark if that's what we got to work with. •   MJLogan95 | Message WallContributions   00:02, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
