Omnium Steel
Omnium Steel is a metal alloy developed by Stark Industries and used in Obadiah Stane's Iron Monger Armor.
History[]
Iron Monger Armor[]
Stark Industries created a metal alloy named "Omnium Steel" which they patented. Obadiah Stane wanted a strong material for his Iron Monger Armor (as the armor was a counter to Tony Stark's Mark III Iron Man Armor), so he built the hull out of Omnium Steel. This made his armor bulletproof and nearly impervious to Stark's missiles.[1] However, the armor was destroyed when it fell into the large Arc Reactor.[2]

Iron Monger fights Tony Stark in the Iron Monger Armor
In an alternate universe, Iron Monger stole the designs for the Iron Man armor and kept it secret, building the Iron Monger armor based on them. However, Pepper Potts discovered the secret and warned Tony Stark. Iron Monger then donned the Iron Monger Armor and attacked Potts. Stark and Iron Monger battled till The roof of Stark Industries Headquarters broke under the weight of the Iron Monger armor, causing him to fall to the ground below, defeated.[3]
Abu Bakar Killed Universe[]
In an alternate universe, Obadiah Stane gained access to the Mark I Iron Man armor and ordered his engineers to recreate it. After days of work on the armor, government agents arrived and blew open a door to where Stane was working. He donned the Iron Monger Armor and used it to take down the government agents before he was soon attacked by Iron Man using the Mark III Iron Man armor. Stane and Stark continued to fight, but Stane was briefly interrupted as James Rhodes drove a car into the Iron Monger armor's leg, damaging it. The fight soon led to the two fighting above the gigantic ARK Reactor. Pepper Potts discharged the energy buildup in the ARK Reactor, freezing the armor in place. Stane tried to aim a weapon at Stark, causing him and the armor to fall into the ARK Reactor, destroying both.[4]

- In the comics, Omnium Steel is a metal alloy from which many items were made, including Iron Monger's armor and Whiplash's Electricity Whips. Omnium is also stronger than Titanium, a primary material in Tony Stark's Mark III Iron Man Armor, but weaker than Adamantium.
