A Dimensional Area (ディメンショナルエリア) is an artificially created field in which NetNavis can materialize in the real world. A prototype version is created by Yuichiro Hikari in the last episode of MegaMan NT Warrior but with disastrous results. Many viruses run loose in the Dimensional Area, including a powerful Life Virus. Lan, Maylu, Yai, Dex, and Tory use water guns to fend off the viruses and their NetNavis appear to delete the Life Virus.

Dimensional Areas play a larger role in MegaMan NT Warrior Axess. They are used to allow Darkloids to wreak havoc on the human world. To combat this threat, SciLab developed Cross Fusion. Whenever Lan and MegaMan are in a Dimensional Area, they can Cross Fuse. The Dimensional Area is also protected by layers of electronic shielding. The shielding repels any outsiders from entering it. However, getting into a Dimensional Area is not impossible, as seen in Episode 11 of Axess, where Lan successfully charges into one after a number of attempts. The way shown is to run at the Area at high speeds and Cross Fuse upon impact. It can also be entered by using a Synchro Chip and performing Cross Fusion while in contact with the Dimensional Area, as seen in episode 45 of Rockman EXE Stream. Lastly, it can also be destroyed by attacking the Dimensional Generator or by hitting the field with such force that it loses its cohesion.

The Dimensional Area can also be used to trap a Navi, as seen in several Axess episodes where it was specifically used against Dark ProtoMan.EXE.

In Stream, Dimensional Chips are used to allow Asteroid Navis to materialize in the real world without the use of a Dimensional Area. To combat this, a Dimensional Area is created where the Asteroid Navi is located, entrapping them and allowing for the use of Cross Fusion.

The trapping effect of a Dimensional Area can be negated by the use of another Dimensional Area. The effect is only seen in Episode 42 of Stream where Dark Rockman and Darkloids jack into an earthmover and plow a path of destruction through several towns of Sharo. Basically, when two Dimensional Areas come in contact with each other, they are treated as the same field, allowing the earthmover's mobile Dimensional Area to bypass SciLab's static Dimensional Area.

A Dimensional Area in Stream protects the entrance to the interior of a city/mothership which landed on Earth. The city/mothership belonged to the creators of Duo, who destroyed his creator's planet.

An incomplete Dimensional Area appears in Beyondard in Beast. It was created by Hikari Tadashi of Beyondard. The experiment was sabotaged by Dr. Wily of Beyondard and resulted in massive topographic changes along with the introduction of Greigar and Falzar and their respective virus and navi armies. A dimensional field was utilized by Dr. Wily of Beyondard to repel intruders to his secret laboratory. Cross fusion cannot be carried out properly in these Dimensional Areas. Instead, the longer Cross fusion is used, the more it harms the operator.

Smaller Dimensional Areas can also be triggrred by a huge power source, such as BugStyle MegaMan or Allegro.

Dimensional Area generators are utilized by SciLab, Nebula, and on two occasion, the Darkloids (once during Axess, once during Stream).

Dimensional Converter[]

Dimensional Converter Projectile Deployed

A Dimensional Converter when deployed.

A Dimensional Converter (ディメンショナルコンバータ) is a device, most commonly seen as a transparent cylinder with blue top and bottom covers, filled with glowing chips and frequently deployed as an anchorable projectile, but also sometimes manifested from inside the walls and floor of a particular building or area, containing a sizeable sample of the Dimensional Element that creates a Dimensional Area upon activation. Generally speaking, many Dimensional Converters are deployed as a group to form a perimeter around a location and thus create the Dimensional Area.

Regal Satellite

Regal's satellite in Axess.

These were ostensibly used by Dr. Regal as the leader of Nebula in Axess, as it provided a way of allowing Darkloids to enter the Real World and do their bidding. In this case, they were deployed in sets of 4, contained in missiles launched from an orbiting satellite.

Dimensional Generator[]

A Dimensional Generator (ディメンショナルジェネレータ) is a device that creates a Dimensional Area in the real world.

There are both mobile and stationary versions of the Generator.

The mobile versions are tank-like cars with sets of antennae that circle the location and create energy beams around where a Dimensional Area is to be generated; the stationary versions, introduced in Stream, create a Dimensional Area by sending multiple beams of energy from a set of parabolic antennae on the rooftop of a building such as the SciLab. The Dimensional Area can also be directed to anywhere in the world with the use of satellite dishes and orbital reflectors, and can be formed around an object in flight, exemplified in Episode 32 of Stream. These were installed in all SciLab locations (Densan City and Sharo) and a NetPolice location (Amerope) with the help of Dr. Wily.

Dimensional Element[]

The Dimensional Element (ディメンショナルエレメント) is an element of unknown origin or composition discovered by Dr. Yuichiro Hikari (anime) that bridges the Real World and the Cyberworld, and when implemented in the form of Dimensional Converters or Generators, allows for the creation of a Dimensional Area.
