Zoano GateMan in the anime.

In the anime, GateMan portrayed as a sadistic and crazed Zoanoroid that serves Falzer's army. Due to already being a Zoanoroid in his debut, he was not shown to have ever been the Navi of a Beyondard version of Meijin, and his original personality before his turning is unknown.

Zoano GateMan is relentless soldier that hunts down Zoano NumberMan and interrogates him on what Glaga's forces knew about Trill before blasting Zoano NumberMan with his Gate Cannon and deleting him. He is later deleted by Falzer Beast Rockman.

Abilities[]

GateMan

GateMan's Navi Mark

  • Gate Soldier (ゲートソルジャー[2][3] Gēto Sorujā):
His chest opens up and 3 mini sword wielding soldiers come out to attack. This attack is tricky because the soldiers follow MegaMan up and down the panels. But they can be destroyed.
  • Gate Cannon (ゲートキャノン[2][3] Gēto Kyanon):
His chest opens up and a cannon appears. The cannon fires a blast down the row it's on. To dodge, move to the row above or below.
  • Remote Gate (リモートゲート Rimōto Gēto):
When GateMan has less than half of its HP MAX he can use this attack, he summons a gate which sets in front of GateMan's front column. It moves up and down the rows as the player would, blocking any attempt to attack GateMan.
  • Devil's Hand (魔まの手て[2][3] Ma no Te):
After a while, Remote Gate will open up and attack with a hand and stop moving. For this moment, GateMan is vulnerable. The gate is also vulnerable while it is open.

Battle Chips[]

Mega Man Battle Network 2[]

GateMan (ゲートマン Gētoman) chips are obtained by defeating GateMan and his stronger versions. They summon GateMan, who attacks with Gate Soldier, the first chip releasing three soldiers, GateMan V2 four soldiers, and GateMan V3 five soldiers.

GateMan SP (GateSP) (ゲートマンSP) could only be obtained in Capcom events in Japan. In the Virtual Console release, the chip is put in the Pack upon accessing the Network screen. When used, GateMan appears and attacks with Gate Cannon.
