Recurring Characters[]
Anna Mori[]

Anna Mori, known as Anna Morishima (もりしまアンナ Morishima Anna) in Japan. is a recurring maid NPC in the first 3 Mega Man Battle Network games [1].
In Battle Network 1, Anna works in the Government Complex's restaurant, stating she's a college student working a part-time job. In Battle Network 2, she's working at a cafe in Marine Harbor, where at one point she loses her wage due to a PET virus attack. In Battle Network 3, she's working at a cafe in Beach Street. The Job BBS "Old Master" has her former Navi request to find her, through this, it reveals her name and that she was a student of ACDC Elementary School before she had to move.
Koetsu[]
Koetsu (コーエツ Kōetsu) is mainly seen helping people in bulletin boards with his technical knowledge under the username Koetsu, known as Big Brother Koetsu (コーエツにいさん Kōetsu Nīsan) in Japan. He is 25 years old [2]. He also participated in the N1 Grand Prix and Battle Chip GP.
He is named after Koetsu Matsuda, one of the main programmers of the series.[3]
Jennifer[]

Jennifer (ジェニファー Jenifā) is a NetBattler from South Netopia that attended to the secret "Official NetBattler Meeting" in Mega Man Battle Network 2 and was attacked by Princess Pride. She participates in the N1 Grand Prix in Mega Man Battle Network 3, managing to pass the preliminaries but losing to Raoul before the quarter-finals.
In the English version of Battle Network 2, a scientist woman with the same model as Jennifer gives "Jennifer's chipfolder", implying the woman is Jennifer. However, in the original Japanese version, the folder was only named "Older Girl's Folder" (おねえさんのフォルダ Onee-san no Foruda), not identifying the character as Jennifer at all.
Johnson[]

Johnson (ジョンソン Jonson) is a NetBattler that attended to the secret "Official NetBattler Meeting" in Mega Man Battle Network 2 and was attacked by Princess Pride. He was apparently born in Netopia but raised in YumLand. Johnson participates in the N1 Grand Prix in Mega Man Battle Network 3 and loses in the preliminaries.
Kimie Ura[]

Kimie [4], known as Kimie Urakawa (浦川キミエ Urukawa Kimie) in Japan, is the owner of the Ura Inn in the Mega Man Battle Network 3. She's shown to be dedicated to her innkeeper job when she takes charge of her customer's safety during the attack by a Yoka Zookeeper. She is the mother of Mamoru Ura and the older sister of Tamako Shiraizumi [5]. In Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge, she participates in the Battle Chip GP's Stream Tournament with a NormalNavi-Aqua.
Mr. Famous' apprentice[]

Mr. Famous' apprentice is an unnamed character appearing in Mega Man Battle Network 3 White, where he gives several battle tips. In Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge, he participates as "Trainee" in the Battle Chip GP Tournaments with a NormalNavi3.
Mami[]

Main article: Mami
Mami (マミ) appeared in the the Eagle/Hawk Tournament of Mega Man Battle Network 4 and was also the announcer of the DenDome NetBattle tournament in Rockman.EXE Phantom of Network. Mami's design is based on Mami the MC, who appeared at real life Capcom events [6].
Nanako[]

Nanako (ナナコ Nanako) is a shop assistant at Higsby's chip shop starting in Mega Man Battle Network 4. Throughout the game, she's being taught the job, learning important things such as adopting Higsby's "huh" tick. She keeps a shop assistant diary in the shop’s Net warehouse. It’s revealed that Nanako also has a side gig selling ice cream in Castillo's MelSquare, unbeknownst to Higsby. After the Hawk/Eagle Tournament, she states she got a raise due to the increase in sales thanks to the tournament. In Mega Man Battle Network 5, she becomes the salesperson at the cashier desk, a spot usually taken by Higsby.
In the MegaMan NT Warrior anime Shuko Kido has a role similar to her's.
Kitagawa[]

Kitagawa
Kitagawa (北川) is a skilled legendary NetBattler from Rockman.EXE Phantom of Network and Rockman.EXE Legend of Network. He's a friend of Mr. Famous. He also often gives advice and strategy to NetBattlers.

Takeshi[]

Takeshi
The Soul Battler Takeshi (ソウルバトラータケシ Souru Batorā Takeshi) is a NetBattler that only appears in message boards, such as the BBS for the Gargoyle Castle HP in Mega Man Battle Network 5. He is based on a real life announcer in official Capcom tournaments and has his own e-Reader Mod Card. [7]

Froid's son[]

The son of Dr. Froid was kidnapped by Ms. Madd and she uses his safety as leverage. Yai noticed that a kid from school was missing and e-mailed Lan to help search for him. When Lan found him he asks Lan to help his dad.
This character was expanded further in the anime as the character Tory Froid.
Ms. Yuri[]

The Ms. Yuri is the twin sister of Ms. Mari and teaches summer school in DenTown. She was an ex-member of WWW and helps Lan Hikari by providing a code for access for areas deep in the Net controlled by the WWW.
This character was greatly expanded on in the anime, being a major recurring character.
Mega Man Battle Network 2[]
Jim[]

Jim (ジム Jimu) is a Netopian boy who hangs out in the back streets of Netopia. He's a well known informant in his area and seems to be in good terms with Raoul. Jim helped Lan get back his BattleChips after they were stolen, in exchange for a Guard * chip. Afterwards, he asks and remembers Lan's name, which he then always says whenever Lan returns to talk to him. When talked to anytime during and after the climax of the game, Jim tells Lan his people are fighting Gospel but many have been injured and asks for assistance, although the player is not given the option to help.
Unnamed Entomologist[]

This unnamed Entomologist (ムシ博士 Mushi Hakase) [8] is an Electopian Bug Society member that can distinguish insect types (and spiders) just by being described its features. He first appears on a airplane from Netopia, returning from a World Bug Symposium. On the ride, he helped Lan Hikari and others capture a loose "red-eyed wooly spider". He also caught Gauss from escaping after he was found to be culprit of the Airplane incident. He later reappears for a Request BBS Job, asking Lan to find a Den Beetle (デンサン オオゲンゴロウ Densan Oogengorou) for him.
In, Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge, a man named Osamu (オサム Osamu) appears with his design and also has a fascination with insects. It is unknown if it is the same character. He appears in the Battle Chip GP's Thunder Tournament with a Normal Navi V4.
CookMan.EXE[]

CookMan.EXE (クックマン Kukkuman) is the King of YumLand's NetNavi. He, along with his entire country's Navis, were deleted by ShadowMan.EXE and his minions in Mega Man Battle Network 2. He is eventually revived by backup data at the end of the game, seen perfectly alive in the credits, after Yumland's restoration. CookMan is an amazing chef, and once travelled the world collecting recipes[9].
Mega Man Battle Network 3[]
Bonzu[]

Bonzu (ボンズ Bonzu)[10] comes from Yumland and one of the competitors in D-Block of the N1 Grand Prix. He loses in the preliminaries.
Yosh[]

Yosh or Yoshio [11], known as Yoshio Yamada (ヤマダヨシオ/やまだよしお Yamada Yoshio)[12] in Japan, is a SciLab employee who is a chip expert and one of the competitors in D-Block of the N1 Grand Prix. He loses in the preliminaries.
CopyMan.EXE[]

CopyMan.EXE (コピーマン Kopīman) is a Navi from Undernet ranked #3 with the ability to adopt the forms of other Navis. He takes on the appearance of GutsMan and fights like him. His true form is unknown.
Mega Man Battle Network 4[]
Shilly[]

Shilly, known as Shiniri (しんいり Shin-iri) in Japan, is a blond-haired scientist working for NAXA. While bored by his less-than-exciting life at NAXA's outer space observatory room, he spots Duo's asteroid hurtling straight to Earth, which impact could have destroyed the planet.
Yuko[]

Yuko (ユウコ Yuuko) is one of the competitors of The Den Battle/City Battle Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4. She uses a NormalNavi called Ponta (ポンタ Ponta). In reality, the Yuko met in-game is a ghost; she died several years ago. Her presence on Earth has caused a rift, summoning a number of Navi-ghosts back to the Internet. She returns to the afterlife following her defeat, thanking Lan for playing with her.
Tetsu[]

Tetsu, known as Gantetsu (ガンテツ Gantetsu) in Japan, is one of the competitors from The Den Battle/City Battle Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4. He loves to fight and has the image of a scary Japanese delinquent, complete with geta wooden sandals, but he's actually a nice guy. His most notable trait is making loud footstep sounds with his wooden sandals when he exits rooms. Tetsu's NetNavi is a powerful HeelNavi that can take down 80 HeelNavis in a row.
Kosuke[]

Kosuke (コウスケ Kousuke) is Tensuke Takumi's grandson, and he appeared in Mega Man Battle Network 4. He has the appearance of a generic NPC boy with cap used in the fourth and fifth games. Kosuke has a rift with his grandfather, failing to understand Tensuke's hobby; it's for a chance to bond with Kosuke that the elder begins to get into Net Battling in the first place.
Kosuke also appeared in episode 43 of MegaMan NT Warrior Axess, where his grandfather learns to NetBattle so he can play with Kosuke. A boy identical to him (except for the lack of TopMan's mark in his shirt) met Moliarty and Mr. Press in episode 13 of Rockman.EXE Beast+.
NetBattle Club Chief[]

The chief of the NetBattle Club is an elderly man who is Tensuke Takumi's twin brother. As a parallel to Tensuke's tops, he makes kites as a profession. He and his brother fight a lot, but when Lan came to ask him to give Tensuke NetBattling advice, he reluctantly does so. After Tensuke's match, they've come to a better understanding of each other (yet they resume fighting shortly afterwards).
Unnamed Hot Dog Lady[]

This unnamed woman helms the hot dog restaurant (takoyaki in Japan) next to the DenDome. When her hot dog fryer broken, Mr. Match came in to fix and upgrade it. Match once again saved her when goons came to hassle her for "protection money". She attends Match's match VS Lan to the surprise of Match. After the battle, she comes on stage to invite Mr. Match into her life. Unfortunately Match states they come from different worlds, rejecting her. Dejected, she leaves the stage hoping to be able to move on from him.
Cone[]

Cone (コーン Kōn) is a special advisor of NAM, one of the top companies in the world. As NAM financed Higsby's, they deemed the shop as unprofitable and plans to close it. After a small business promotion, Higsby's started booming again. Cone sends his Navi to trap NumberMan in their warehouse as an attempt to slow them down. Afterwards, Cone tried to shake down Higsby one last time until a bunch of kids comes to his support and Cone gives up.
Director Ozma[]

Director Ozma (オズマ監督 Ozuma Kantoku) is a character from Mega Man Battle Network 4 that appears in Castillo. He is based on Hideo Kojima (小島 秀夫), the creator of the Boktai and Metal Gear video game series.
Flave[]

Flave Yamakawa, known as Ajita Yamakawa (山川味太 Yamakawa Ajita) in Japan, is one of the competitors of the Eagle/Hawk Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4. He wants to be a chef and uses an unnamed NormalNavi. Furious that Lan disliked his curry, Flave challenged Lan into a cooking battle before their tournament match. Lan won the battle thanks to a certain cooking master (revealed to be Flave's own father after the tournament match) who wants to teach Flave what cooking really is about.
According to writer Masakazu Eguchi, Flave is based on a child that participated in an EXE event. [13]
Riki[]

Riki (リキ Riki) is one of the competitors of the Hawk/Eagle Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4. He uses a HeelNavi called Crusher (クラッシャー Kurasshā). Despite his scary appearance he is a gentle person who prefers baking more than his position in the mafia.
Bonds[]

Bonds (ボンズ Bonzu) is a Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament representative who greets Lan Hikari into Netopia and tests him in preparation for the tournament. In the Japanese version he shares the same "Bonzu" name from Battle Network 3, it is unknown if he is the same person.
Jack Bomber[]

Jack Bomber (ジャック・ボマー Jakku Bomā) is a FootBomber that participates in the Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4 with a NormalNavi to promote his sport.
Paulie[]

Paulie, known as Porepore (ポレポレ Porepore) in Japan, is one of the competitors of the Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament in Mega Man Battle Network 4. He uses a Heel Navi called Jammer, known as Jua (ジュア Jua) in Japan, and is from NetFrica. He invited Lan to his village's WaterGod Festival and subsequently enter the WaterGod Quest. Feeling bitter that Lan and MegaMan unexpectedly won the quest, Paulie hijacked into the WaterGod system to drain his own village's entire water supply. The intention is for MegaMan to fix the system only to be attacked by the viruses he planted in as well. After he lost to Lan in the Blue Moon/Red Sun tournament, the villagers wanted to punish him for his crimes, but Lan stopped the act himself and forgive Paulie for what he did to his own village.

Gow[]

Gow (ガウ Gau) is an important program in Mega Man Battle Network 5 that, in the real world, resembles a dog. The program is based on a dog of same name that Tadashi Hikari had.

The Abramo couple[]


The Abramo (アブラーモ Aburāmo) couple are a pair of newlyweds from Sharo. Mr. Abramo is an oil tycoon millionaire and helps fund the Ministry of Science. For their honeymoon, Mr. Abramo took Mrs. Abramo on a world trip around the world, with Raika as their escort.
When they arrived in Electopia, Netto Hikari and Sherrice also joins them as escorts. On the plane ride to Akindo City, they suffered a near plane crash thanks to an infiltration from Nobody's group. Afterwards, the Abramos were moved to another location for safety.
Their name is likely based on the Japanese word for oil, "abura".
Dr. Troy[]
Dr. Troy (Dr.トロイ Dokutā Toroi) was the greatest scientist from the Atlampian Civilization's era. He was responsible for building the network that connects the people of his era. As the 10-year network war raged on, he resorted to converting that network connection into a cyber weapon, the Trojan Horse. Although his fellow scientist opposed to creating such a weapon, Dr. Troy went ahead with it. The Trojan Horse resulted in the total destruction and collapse of their entire civilization.
