Birdlime is an adhesive substance spread on branches to trap birds.
A howizter is a long-ranged weapon that falls between an artillery gun, which fires shells at flat trajectories, and a mortar, which fires at high angles of ascent and descent. "Howitzer" comes from the Czech word houfnice, meaning "crowd" (from houf).
