Aida Caefer
Aida Caefer is a puppeteer and make-up artist who was the hair stylist supervisor for the Proteus Make-up FX Team on Star Trek.
Caefer hails from Romania and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting and puppeteering from the Academy of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, Romania. She is also trained in puppet construction, makeup, and special makeup effects.
Caefer's stage credits as a puppeteer include productions of Pinocchio and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her work on the latter earned her the L.A. Times award for "Best Puppets."
In addition to Star Trek, Caefer was also a hair technician on DreamWorks' Tropic Thunder (working with Ray Shaffer) and Bryan Singer's Valkyrie (2009). As part of Animal Makers company, she fabricated puppets for various commercials, CBS' The Office, and Scary Movie 2 (2001) and The Dark Knight (2008).
