Jonathan Archer compared the Calindra system, used by the Xindi as a weapons testing area in 2153, to Bikini Atoll. (ENT: "Proving Ground")
The Star Trek Encyclopedia, 4th ed., vol. 1, p. 83 described the Bikini Atoll as a small island made of coral reef in the Marshall Islands.
According to StarTrek.com, a two-piece bathing suit worn by females was named after this atoll. [1](X)
