Ground assault vehicle
A ground assault vehicle was a type of ground vehicle used by Klingons during the 24th century. These vehicles were mounted with targ scoop on the front, which emitted a high frequency tone that dispersed targ herds in their path.
B'Elanna Torres referenced the use of targ scoops on ground assault vehicles as a suggestion on how to disperse a swarm of space-dwelling lifeforms that were encountered by the USS Voyager. As a result, Torres suggested that a similar technique could be adapted to Voyager by modifying the main deflector to create an inverted magnetic pulse. (VOY: "Elogium")
