Jacob Kogan

Jacob Kogan (born 28 May 1995; age 29) is an American actor of Russian-Jewish ancestry who played the young Spock in Star Trek. [1] Hailing from New York City, New York, he attended a private school. In addition to acting, he also plays guitar and the piano. A picture of him was used for card #11 of the virtual collectible card battle game Star Trek: Rivals in 2013, titled "Half Vulcan Spock".

Kogan broke into acting when he was asked to audition for a Lasse Hallström film. The film ultimately lost funding and was scrapped, but Kogan continued to pursue an acting career. He became a regular on Wonder Showzen, which aired in 2005 and 2006. He has since acquired recognition for playing the title role in Joshua (2007), about a mentally-disturbed 9-year-old boy whose psychotic behavior begins to tear his wealthy family apart. This film also featured Star Trek: Voyager guest star Michael McKean. Kogan received for his performance a Young Artist Award nomination in the category Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor in 2008.

In September 2007, Kogan completed filming on Wherever You Are (2008, starring Star Trek: Deep Space Nine guest actor Josh Pais).

Following his work on Star Trek, Kogan guest-starred in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011, starring Mariska Hargitay) and played the recurring role of David in Delocated (2009-2013). Kogan later had a recurring role as Luca Jameson in The Tomorrow People (2013-2014).
