Svengali Visual Effects

Svengali Visual Effects, or Svengali FX, is a Los Angeles-based visual effects production company which worked on additional visual effects shots for Star Trek. Founded in April 2002, Svengali FX specializes in environment creation for feature film production, including matte painting, compositing, animation, and 2D and 3D environments. Svengali is co-owned by Rocco Gioffre and Jamie Venable, both of whom worked on Star Trek.

In addition to Star Trek, Svengali has provided visual effects for such films as Garden State (2004), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Apocalypto (2006), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), I Am Legend (2007), The Forbidden Kingdom (2008), Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008), and Watchmen (2009). They have also done matte paintings for films such as Van Helsing (2004), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Garfield (2004).
