Starbase 612

Starbase 612 was a Federation Starfleet starbase with a space station facility in the 24th century. (TNG video games: Armada, Armada II)

The starbase was initially the first station to fall in the original Borg invasion in 2376, eventually leading to the assimilation of Earth. The USS Premonition warned the Federation of the starbase's fate and the aftermath. The USS Enterprise entered the sector, only to find a damaged base surrounded by derelict ships with Borg power nodes attached to their hulls. The Borg attacked again in several waves, along with assimilated Federation ships. These attacks were repelled and Borg presence was eliminated from the sector. The Federation began negotiations to ally with the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire to fight the Borg as a joint force, leaving the Borg to alter their plans.

Although the game characters refer to it as Starbase 612, the in-game object in the Dark Omens mission is named Starbase 312.

In Armada and Armada II, the starbase's space station name was randomly assigned to a playing field station by the game software.
