Instructions for how you can confirm your identity can be found at: Steward handbook/email templates.

Administrator access

Firilacroco@ro Wikiquote

I request sysop access. On my wikiquote there is only one sysop and no bureaucrat but that admin didn't vote.

Thank you. Firilacroco 19:54, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Community is very small, and not voting does not necessarily equate approving. Therefore Done, but as a temporary sysophood for a period of 6 months. - Andre Engels 11:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sadik Khalid@mlwikt

Status:    Done

Based on community decision, I request sysop access for Sadik Khalid@mlwikt.

Thanks! --Jacob 19:02, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I want you tell me what exactly I've to do. I only want to take the ligurian project and try to give to it a dignity. Now it hasn't an uniform writing, I intend to change all pages with the official writing explained on www.zeneize.net . If someone can tell to me what I've exactly to do I'll do it. If there is someone that tell me in italian I'll understand better, otherwise in english i better than nothing. Thank you very much. --87.14.126.56 10:39, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see you have a vote going now... wait for that to come to a conclusion. In any case I suggest you register an account here at Meta, crosslink it to another wiki where you have some significant contributions. However adminship does not give you license to change content unilaterally, only to fight vandalism and the like. To effect changes, make proposals for changes or improvements on that wiki and gain consensus from the local community... it looks like there is a local community. ++Lar: t/c 20:25, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
--F.noceti 10:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I have also corrected the link to the automatic List of local bureaucrats. There is no bureaucrat there.--Jusjih 01:44, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Muddyb Blast Producer@sw.Wiktionary

Status:    Done

I request sysop access.

Thank you. Muddyb Blast Producer 11:56, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The local request link does not seem to link to a request page. do you have community consensus? If the community is small, you may want to ask for temporary sysop access instead. ++Lar: t/c 13:34, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See this:

http://sw.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Wakabidhi

That place seems no body are taking care, so I want to become an admin for make it better. To change main page and all other things which are needed to be changed. And also there's no community page, so I want to create it when I became a sysop. Kindly you need to consider about it,--Muddyb Blast Producer 04:41, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As Lar said, if there is no community, we can only give temporary status. Please remake your request in the #Temporary permissions for emergency or technical purposes section. --FiLiP ¤ 05:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interlingue Wikipedia

Hi! I'm Chabi, from Interlingue Wikipedia and I want to be Administrator because we haven't got anyone. Could anybody make me administrator there, please? [1] --Chabi 21:00, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  •  On hold. I see two admins [2] while they have made no edits recently. Please link to your local request and user pages, or I cannot approve your request. Once you make a local request, I will consider the community opinion. Thanks.--Jusjih 01:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Diego pmc@ro Wikisource

I request sysop access.

Thank you. 84.232.162.42 20:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not done, sorry, if the community is too small to vote, please apply for temporary status. Please make a local request link anyway to grant readers and maybe watching people to give their opinion. Many thanks, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:43, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: please remember that Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy -- what would be different if all people who voted on ro.wiki would have created accounts on Wikisource just to vote for the guy? I think you should consider his application on its own merits instead of declaring mistrial on technical grounds -- in my opinion his course of action shows that he's an upstanding user who has chosen to withstand the scrutiny of his peers instead of applying for this position based on the known unresponsiveness of the non-existing community at ro.Wikisource. --Gutza 22:59, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please read my rationale below, this is not about bureaucracy, this is about respecting a local community, even if it is very small. There is no local request on ro.wikisource, but there are users in the recent changes even a sysop. This request here is closed, thanks for Your understanding, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 23:05, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bengoa@euwiktionary

I request sysop access. These last 3 months I have been sysop, and I have been ended the time temporarily. I am the only active user there and lately there is vandalism, advertising, spam... Because of it I want to turn it to it being, in addition Thogo said to me that when it wanted again the permission that was saying it to you.

Thank you!--Bengoa (My user talk) 12:32, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done, expires 03-12-2008, this time for 6 months, please feel free to hold a local voting as soon as the community grows or to come back shortly before Your status expires, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 12:39, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bureaucrat access

See bureaucrat for information about the position.

Belekvor @ diqwiki

I request bureaucrat access on diq.wikipedia:
Zazaki Wikipedia is growing quickly, so we need a bureaucrat.--Belekvor 21:59, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not done There are no votes for you. And the project is still far too small to need own bureaucrats. --Thogo (talk) 22:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There are 4 votes for Belekvor. The wiki is active enough to have a bureaucrate. Maybe only for the botrequests. Maybe we should have the local wiki make up its mind how many bureaucrates it needs. It did say that one is enough. Carsrac 11:15, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Was done by Angela 4 weeks ago already. --Thogo (talk) 14:22, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I request bureaucrat access.

Thank you. Vpovilaitis apt. 04:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not done as there are too few votes, indicating a rather small community that probably doesn't need a bureaucrat. --FiLiP ¤ 07:39, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ko.S.ystem.OV@@sq wikiquote

I request bureaucrat access.

Thank you. Sintonak.X 16:51, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser access

To request CheckUser information, see Request for CheckUser information. This is the place to request CheckUser access. Note that temporary CheckUser access is not permitted.

Stewards: When someone asks for CheckUser status, please check the current policy regarding bestowal of status before giving the status. Do not grant CheckUser access unless the user is identified to the foundation, which will be announced here. Breaching these rules may be cause for removing your steward access. When you give someone CheckUser, please list them on CheckUser, ask them to subscribe to checkuser-l, email checkuser-l-owner@wikipedia.org so that the listadmins know the person is allowed on the mailing list (the list may contain confidential information), and make sure they contact an op for access to #wikimedia-checkuser.

Kanjy@ja.wikipedia

Please give ja:User:Kanjy the CheckUser permission.

Thank you.--Bellcricket 14:54, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On hold until Cary confirms the identity. —DerHexer (Talk) 14:55, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

winkThanks! a lot! I will join CheckUser-L and #wikimedia-checkuser. --Kanjy 18:04, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oversight access

Do not initiate an oversight request here. The Arbitration Committee will make the request once there is consensus on the local wiki (this process is currently for en-Wikipedia only).

Stewards: Do not grant Oversight access unless the user is identified to the foundation, which will be announced here. When you give someone oversight access, list them on Hiding revisions.

Removal of access

If you want to request that your own status be removed, please don't forget to place a note on your local user talk page (preferably with an English translation). This is required to prove your identity. And then add the request here. You should add the difflink of your local confirmation edit to the request.

To request the removal of another user's status, you must gain consensus on the local wiki first. All discussion must be kept on your local wiki. When there is community consensus that the user's access should be removed, a trusted person from that wiki should provide a link here to the discussion, a very brief explanation of the reason for the request, and summarize the results of discussion.

Copy and paste the following text into the correct section. Fill in all the required fields -- language code, link to the local request, and link to your local user page. Without this information, a steward cannot process your request.

==== Username@language-code project-name ====
I request removal of access.

Temporary permissions for emergency or technical purposes

If you are requesting administrator status to make a translation of the wiki interface, see also the BetaWiki project, which seeks to make a neutral MediaWiki translation that will then be default for all wikis. That is more useful than only making a local translation. You can ask questions in the IRC channel or in the mailing list. See also MediaWiki localisation. If you are requesting adminship to handle one-time vandalism incidents or clearing a deletion backlog, please see Vandalism reports and Multilingual speedy deletions.

Stewards: Currently active temporary permissions are listed at /Approved temporary. When granting a request, please copy the request to the appropriate section there, and clearly state the date of removal. Requests only need remain listed below for a few days, and may afterward be removed as long as they have been copied to the subpage.

Copy and paste the following text into the correct section. Fill in all the required fields -- language code, link to the list of sysops and bureaucrats, local request link, link to your local user page, and the preferred duration with a reason. Without this information, a steward cannot process your request.

Hello Diego pmc, as said a bit above, I would like to see a local request for this, because I can see at least one sysop and other people in the recent changes. Please grant the local community to express their opinion on this even if they are just a few people, many thanks for Your understanding, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that the requests page is locked; see "Nominalizări" (=Nominations). [6] 84.232.161.47 05:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen, You contacted the local sysop about it. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 08:44, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I asked, and am waiting for an answer, but he avoids to give it, wihout making a clear position. And furthermore, he doesn't give attention to my suggestions regarding different needed updates of the .css, which if they were listened, or given more attention (prove me they are not needed), I wouldn't have asked for adminship. How long should I wait for his answer, before asking here again? diego_pmc 12:54, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but if they decide not to update the css. it is their decision, You could try to make a request in the village pump if the request site stays protected. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 13:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
