Sacumon was a sorceress in the Dark Age of Terisiare, on the plane of Dominaria.[1]
Description[ | ]
Sacumon appeared as a blurry, black streak, her image distorted by magic to stay an enigma to those who saw her. On much closer inspection, some details of her body could be made out from the distortion, such as her slender, heavily scarred, and tattooed arms.[1]
History[ | ]
Sacumon received orders from Lord Peemel by way of the messenger Isak Glen'Dard that she was to incite a war between the elves of Eln Forest and the minotaurs of Urhaalan Valley. She worked with the warmongering stone people named the Niroso, sending out their destructive coal golems to attack elves and minotaur alike. She manipulated Yunnie into blaming the goblins for the skirmishes happening between the two peoples, which only convinced the Urhaalan even more that the elves were really to blame. Sacumon proffered the Living Armor to Yunnie, knowing its long-term curse would lead him to death. She also used blood magic to cast spells of Amnesia and Silence on Yunnie, forcing him to be unable to remember or speak of her, the Niroso, or the coal golems.[1]
Yunnie was disgraced and sent away from the Urhaalan, as Sacumon planned, but was ultimately saved by Maeveen O'Donagh and brought back to the battlefront. Without Yunnie's might, the minotaurs had started to fail in their war against the elves, and Mytaru used his shamanic magic to bring forth the stone avatar of Tiyint, wreaking devastation in the north. With Yunnie having finally overcome the curses set upon him by Sacumon, he led Maeveen and her troop into the caves of the Niriso, where Yunnie and Coernn finally bested Sacumon, forcing her to spend too much of her blood magic to be able to recuperate. When she died, she faded into a dried husk, as if she had preserved her lifeforce far past its natural duration.[1]
