SCENE 3 Oscar and Kate have arrived, and Kate observes Gordon using the sink. She remembers what it was like when she was a little girl on a farm, back when there was no running water – only outdoor pumps. She uses her sketchpad to draw a water pump as she describes the process to Oscar. He doesn’t think it’s such an inconvenience to fetch water from outside, but the others disagree with him citing the ways they use water. In an attempt to prove them wrong, Oscar proceeds to fetch some water from his trash can. Cartoon P is for Pillow

cont'd Oscar comes back lugging a bucket of water. Susan uses it to wash her hands, but says she needs more water for cooking, and Oscar obliges. Cartoon Pat the Pilot skywrites a letter P with her plane.

(First: Episode 0452) SCENE 4 Oscar comes back with another bucket of water, noticeably worn out. He still remains stubborn on how difficult Kate described pumping and carrying water earlier, but doesn't want to get more water when Susan asks him to. "I'm exhausted, and besides, my swimming pool's half empty already!" he complains. Film A man and children observe the life along the river.
(First: Episode 0409) Cast Wally and Ralph buy a large jar of glue. The jar was unlabeled, so they get a label reading "Glue." But they cannot figure out how to get the label to stick to the jar. At one point, they accidentally spill some glue on the table; they use the label to wipe it up. Still with no solution, they decide to go out to dinner. So they put the label somewhere (on the jar!) and leave.
