SCENE 2 At the Mail It Shop, Baby Bear and Telly impatiently wait for a delivery from the Letter of the Day Club (which Baby Bear is a proud card-carrying member of). Mail carrier Grover finally arrives with the package. Inside is a dimensional, lowercase letter B, and Maria reads the pair the accompanying note from the club, which mentions several B words.

SCENE 2 cont'd As they reach Oscar's trash can area, Baby Bear comes up with a letter B game, using the B to act like a boat. Suddenly, he's called away by Papa Bear to take a family photo. He leaves the B in Telly's care. Telly tries the game on his own, seeing if the B can bounce. Instead, it breaks. He frets that Baby Bear will be upset with him upon his return and acts out the likely scenario where Baby Bear ends their friendship over this. When Baby Bear returns for real, he's upset over his broken letter, but still considers Telly his friend, knowing it was an accident. The two agree they need a grown-up's help in treating the B.

SCENE 2 cont'd They rush over to Gina's clinic, just as she finishes dealing with a duck patient. They figure that she can lend her veterinary skills to help the letter. Although it's not an animal, Gina gives it a try and pieces the bump together again, then applies some bandages to keep it in place. The letter looks slightly different, but Baby Bear doesn't mind, since the bandages add visual interest and also begin with B. As they head out, Telly tells Gina she should consider a second career in letter repair.
