Gretchen Fox is the wife of Harrison Fox, and a client of Alice Otter in Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. She is also a judge at the talent show.
For the Goodspeed Opera House's musical adaptation, the role of Gretchen Fox was expanded, with her attempting to sneak into the talent contest by disguising herself as "Beverly Badger" and performing a song from "Die Fieldmouse", though her husband is not fooled. The role was originated by Lisa Howard.
