Enterprise-128

Enterprise 64 and 128 were very long awaited computers. They been finally released two years after their announcement and marketing has started! They changed their name a lot of times. At first it was Elan, then Flan, and lastly Enterprise.

Both computers have great features, which were not found on most other home computers, like the interfaces, great graphics and sounds capabilities, which were provided by two special custom chips called "Nick" and "Dave".

BASIC Interpreter was supplied on a ROM cartridge and could be easily replaced with any other language. Supplied BASIC was a very powerful, structured basic with great graphic commands and could store simultaneously several programs in RAM. It has a small word processor in ROM and up to 32 computers can be linked together.

Several months later after Enterprise 64 launch, a new model was launched - Enterprise 128, which was nothing more than an Enterprise 64 with 128 KB RAM.

Despite its great characteristics and all its interfaces, Enterprise 64 and 128 were a flop in the marketplace. Unsold systems (nearly all of them), were sold to East-Europeans countries, and especially Hungary where they were a great success.
