Purva Licchavi script
The Purva Licchavi script was used in the Licchavi Kingdom between 400 and 500 AD to write Sanskrit, Newari and Bajjika. Many Buddhist manuscripts were translated from Pali to Bajjika and written in the Purva Licchavi script. It is also known as the Pro-Lichchhavi script, and is closely related to the Gupta script. The Licchavi Kingdom existed in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal from about 400 and 750 AD.
