Abstract
The invention discloses a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) single-interface display with switchable resolution, which comprises a display, wherein the display is provided with a main control chip and a connecting interface, the connecting interface is respectively connected with two electrically erasable programmable read-only memories (EEDD) specifications and a second EDID specification, E0 control bits of the two EEPROMs are respectively and electrically connected with one input/output (IO) port of the main control chip, and the main control chip selects the EEPROMs by controlling the potentials of the corresponding IO ports and uses the corresponding EDID specifications. The invention realizes the free switching of the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 specification in the same group of input interfaces, realizes that one interface supports all output equipment with the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 specification, and provides a liquid crystal screen display with higher compatibility for users to use.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of display, in particular to an HDMI single-interface display capable of switching resolution.
Background
In the prior art, the HDMI resolution is designed differently according to the HDMI 1.4/HDMI 2.0 hardware specification, the HDMI2.0 resolution can reach 5K 60Hz, the HDMI1.4 resolution is up to 4K 30Hz, and each HDMI interface is configured with a corresponding encoded EDID (Extended display identification data) in the memory EEPROM. Thus, when a single HDMI interface is used, the HDMI interface cannot be compatible with the 5K 60HZ and DVDPLAYER 2K resolution outputs of the display adapter of the computer at the same time, and since the EDID code cannot program the HDMI 1.4/2.0 specification into one EDID memory, when the display card or the DVD device cannot correctly decode the EDID allocated to the HDMI interface, abnormal, silent or no-picture situations may occur.

The invention aims to provide an HDMI single-interface display with switchable resolution.
The technical scheme adopted by the invention is as follows:

Furthermore, an EDID specification selection item of the connection interface is arranged in a system operation menu of the display, a user selects the corresponding EDID specification according to the interface type of the external audio-video equipment, and the main control chip configures the IO port connected with the EEPROM storing the EDID specification as a low potential according to the selection of the user, so as to select the EDID specification.
Further, after the user switches the EDID specification, the main control chip configures the IO port connected to the EEPROM storing the currently selected EDID specification as a low potential, and configures the IO port connected to the EEPROM not selected as a high potential.
Further, the voltage of the low potential is 0 volt, and the voltage of the high potential is 5 volts.
By adopting the technical scheme, all the liquid crystal screen displays with the configured HDMI interfaces can use the structure of the invention to solve the problem that the HDMI equipment cannot be compatible with the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 with the highest resolution on a single HDMI interface. The technical scheme of the invention realizes the free switching of the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 specification on the same group of input interfaces by utilizing hardware planning and software programs, thereby saving the cost of a group of HDMI interfaces or saving a group of EDID SWITCH circuits for controlling specification switching and burning-in. The user can switch the HDMI interface version through the system operation menu, and the resolution can be switched to match with the video equipment to obtain the best resolution. The invention can support all output devices with the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 specification without changing circuit hardware and increasing cost, and provides a liquid crystal screen display with higher compatibility for users to use.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1, the present invention discloses a resolution-switchable HDMI single-interface display, which includes a display, wherein the display is configured with a main control chip and a connection interface, the connection interface is respectively connected with two EEPROMs (electrically erasable programmable read only memories), the two EEPROMs respectively store a first specification EDID specification and a second specification EDID specification, E0 control bits of the two EEPROMs are respectively electrically connected with an IO port of the main control chip, and the main control chip selects the EEPROMs by controlling potentials of the corresponding IO ports and uses the corresponding EDID specifications.
Furthermore, the display is connected with the external audio-visual equipment through the connection interface.
Further, the connection interface is an HDMI interface.
Further, the first EDID specification is EDID of HDMI2.0, and the second EDID specification is EDID of HDMI 1.4.
Further, the main control chip selects the EEPROM connected to the IO port by controlling the corresponding IO port to be at the low potential, and reads the EDID specification of the EEPROM where the low potential IO is located.
Furthermore, an EDID specification selection item of the connection interface is arranged in a system operation menu of the display, a user selects the corresponding EDID specification according to the interface type of the external audio-video equipment, and the main control chip configures the IO port connected with the EEPROM storing the EDID specification as a low potential according to the selection of the user, so as to select the EDID specification.
Further, after the user switches the EDID specification, the main control chip configures the IO port connected to the EEPROM storing the currently selected EDID specification as a low potential, and configures the IO port connected to the EEPROM not selected as a high potential.

The following is a detailed description of the specific working principle of the present invention.
When the liquid crystal screen display circuit is designed, an HDMI input port is planned to be configured with two electrically erasable programmable read-only memories (EEPROMs), the two EEPROMs are respectively embedded with EDID data contents of HDMI2.0 and HDMI1.4, and an E0 address circuit is connected to a main control chip for control by utilizing the control that the EEPROMs are provided with E0, E1 and E2 addresses, so that a supply device can be switched to read which group of EDID, and the function of switching the HDMI resolution is actually achieved.
The function menu established in the user interface menu of the LCD is set as HDMI 1.4/2.0, and the standard specification of HDMI is to read the EEPROM addresses E0/E1/E2 configured by HDMI to be low potential 0 volt (V). With the specification requirement, when the lcd display is set to HDMI1.4, the main control chip sets the EERPOM address E0/E1/E2 configured in HDMI1.4 to low potential 0 volt (V), and sets the EEPROM address E0 of the HDMI2.0 EDID content to high potential 5 volt (V), so that the av device can read only the HDMI1.4 content EDID. If the user enters the user interface again and sets the HDMI2.0, the main control chip of the LCD firstly adjusts the EEPROM address E0/E1/E2, firstly changes the EEPROM address E0/E1/E2 configured by the HDMI2.0 to the low potential 0 volt (V), then sets the EEPROM address E0 configured by the HDMI1.4 to the high potential 5 volt (V), and then reconnects the audio-visual equipment by Hot plug control, and requests the audio-visual equipment to read the EDID of the HDMI interface again to complete the switching.
When the user connects the lcd display to the HDMI output device (e.g., DVD PLAYER), the HDMI output device will first read the EDID allocated by the lcd display to output the best resolution after the HDMI output device is powered on.
When the HDMI output device is HDMI1.4 standard, when the EDID of the lcd display is HDMI2.0 standard and cannot be interpreted and analyzed normally, the HDMI output device will not output complete video and audio signals, and the user may see abnormal frames, pink noise frames, black frames, or normal frames but no sound on the lcd display. After finding that the HDMI output equipment is abnormal, the user can still open the user function interface or the shortcut key as long as the picture exists, and 1.4 is selected from the HDMI under SETUP. When the user selects the HDMI1.4, the LCD main controller program immediately controls the external EEPROM matched with the HDMI input port configuration. After the HDMI 1.4/2.0 option is determined, the HDMI input port of the LCD monitor is reconnected to the device, and the picture can be displayed normally.
When the user switches the lcd display to the HDMI1.4 specification and then changes to the output device of the HDMI2.0 specification, the resolution of the screen cannot reach the maximum resolution of 5K 60Hz, and the above steps can be repeated to set the lcd display to the HDMI2.0 specification, so that the best resolution supporting the HDMI2.0 specification can be achieved.
By adopting the technical scheme, all the liquid crystal screen displays with the configured HDMI interfaces can use the structure of the invention to solve the problem that the HDMI equipment cannot be compatible with the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 with the highest resolution on a single HDMI interface. The technical scheme of the invention realizes the free switching of the HDMI 2.0/HDMI 1.4 specification on the same group of input interfaces by utilizing hardware planning and software programs, thereby saving the cost of a group of HDMI interfaces or saving a group of EDID SWITCH circuits for controlling specification switching and burning-in. 4. The switchable resolution HDMI single interface display of claim 1, wherein: the first EDID specification is EDID of HDMI2.0, and the second EDID specification is EDID of HDMI 1.4.

The switchable resolution HDMI single interface display of claim 1, wherein: and the main control chip selects the EEPROM connected with the IO port by controlling the corresponding IO port to be at the low potential, and reads the EDID specification of the EEPROM where the low potential IO is located.
