In one embodiment, the present invention provides a control method of a water heater, comprising:

a first remote controller to be paired sends a first pairing request to a second remote controller; the first pairing request comprises identity identification information of the first remote controller; the second remote controller is paired with the water heater;

the second remote controller sends the identification information of the first remote controller to the water heater;

the water heater generates the priority of the first remote controller, and stores the identification information of the first remote controller and the priority of the first remote controller in an associated manner; the priority of the first remote controller is the next priority of the second remote controller;

the water heater records the first remote controller as a remote controller that has been paired with the water heater.

In one embodiment, the pairing process of the second remote controller and the water heater comprises:

the second remote controller sends a second pairing request to the water heater, wherein the second pairing request comprises the identity identification information of the second remote controller;
