Abstract
The present application relates to a bendable display device. The bendable display device of the present application includes: a flexible member including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion connecting the first portion and the second portion; the folding mechanism includes: a middle connecting assembly; the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism are respectively connected to two opposite sides of the middle connecting component in a rotating manner; the flexible part comprises a first supporting part and a second supporting part, wherein the first supporting part is connected with the first driving mechanism in a sliding mode, the second supporting part is connected with the second driving mechanism in a sliding mode, the first supporting part is used for supporting a first part of the flexible part, and the second supporting part is used for supporting a second part of the flexible part; when the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism rotate in opposite directions or in opposite directions, the first supporting piece and the second supporting piece are driven to rotate in opposite directions or in opposite directions together, and move in the direction of departing from or moving towards the middle connecting assembly relative to the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism respectively. Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application. It should be apparent that the described embodiments are only some of the embodiments of the present application, and not all embodiments. All other embodiments that can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, an embodiment of the present application provides a
bendable display apparatus100, which includes: a
flexible member10 and a
folding mechanism30. The
flexible member10 comprises a
first portion11, a
second portion13 and a
third portion15 connecting the
first portion11 and the
second portion13. The
folding mechanism30 includes: a
middle connecting member31; a
first driving mechanism33 and a
second driving mechanism35 rotatably connected to opposite sides of the
middle connection assembly31, respectively; a
first support37 slidably coupled to the
first drive mechanism33 and a
second support39 slidably coupled to the
second drive mechanism35, the
first support37 for supporting the
first portion11 of the
flexible member10 and the
second support39 for supporting the
second portion13 of the
flexible member10. When the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35 rotate towards or away from each other, the first supporting
member37 and the second supporting
member39 are driven to rotate towards or away from each other, and move towards the direction away from or towards the
middle connecting assembly31 respectively relative to the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35. The
bendable display device100 has a bending axis (shown as dashed line AA in fig. 2).
The
bendable display device100 of the present application includes but is not limited to a bendable mobile phone, a bendable tablet, a bendable electronic reader, a bendable display, a bendable computer, a bendable television, a bendable smart wearable device, and the like, which can be bent or folded.

The
bendable display device100 of the present application supports the
first portion11 of the
flexible member10 by using the first supporting
member37, and the second supporting
member39 supports the
second portion13 of the
flexible member10, and when the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35 rotate towards or away from each other, the first supporting
member37 and the second supporting
member39 are driven to rotate towards or away from each other together, and move towards the direction away from or towards the
middle connecting assembly31 relative to the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35, respectively. So that the
foldable display device100 is bent, the
third portion15 of the

first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35 are rotatably connected to opposite sides of the
middle connecting member31 by gear engagement.
Alternatively, the
first driving mechanism33 includes a
first driving plate331 and a
first driving member333 fixed to one end of the
first driving plate331, and the
first driving plate331 is slidably connected to the
first support37. The
second driving mechanism35 includes a
second driving plate351 and a
second driving member353 fixed to one end of the
second driving plate351, and the
second driving plate351 is slidably connected to the second supporting
member39. The first and
second driving members333 and 353 are engaged with the
middle connecting member31 and rotatably connected to opposite sides of the
middle connecting member31, respectively.
In some embodiments, the number of the
first driving members333 and the
second driving members353 is two, the two
first driving members333 are respectively located at two opposite ends of the
middle connecting member31 along the bending axis, and the two
second driving members353 are respectively located at two opposite ends of the
middle connecting member31 along the bending axis. In addition, the number of the
first driving member333 and the
second driving member353 may also be 1, 3, 4 or other numbers, which are set according to the requirement and are not specifically limited in this application.
Optionally, in some embodiments, the
first driving plate331 includes a first
sliding slot301, the
second driving plate351 includes a second
sliding slot302, the
first support37 is slidably disposed in the first
sliding slot301, and the
second support39 is slidably disposed in the second
sliding slot302.
In one embodiment, each of the first and
second drive plates331, 351 includes a
bottom plate303 and two
side plates304 extending from the
bottom plate303 in a direction away from the
bottom plate303, and an
end plate306 connecting the two
side plates304 on a side away from the
middle connecting assembly31. The
bottom plate303, the two
side plates304, and the
end plate306 together enclose an accommodation space, which can be used for accommodating an internal structure or electronic components of the
flexible display device100. One end of the
side plate304 adjacent the
middle linkage assembly31 is secured to the
first drive member333. Specifically, the
first slide groove301 is provided in the
side plate304 of the
first drive plate331, and the
second slide groove302 is provided in the
side plate304 of the
second drive plate333. The first supporting
member37 and the second supporting
member39 are respectively provided with a sliding rail 305 (as shown in fig. 3), and the sliding
rail305 of the first supporting
member37 and the sliding
rail305 of the second supporting
member39 are respectively connected with the first sliding
chute301 and the second sliding
chute302 in a sliding manner.
Optionally, in some embodiments, the first sliding
groove301 and the second sliding
groove302 are perpendicular to the bending axis of the
bendable display device100, so that the first supporting
member37 and the second supporting
member39 move away from or towards the
middle connecting member31 relative to the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35 when they rotate toward or away from the
middle connecting member31.
Referring to fig. 5, optionally, in some embodiments, the first driving
member333 and the
second driving member353 each include a
first arm3301 and a
second arm3303 connected to the
first arm3301 in a bent manner. The
first arm3301 of the
first driving unit333 is fixed to the
side plate304 of the
first driving plate331, and the
first arm3301 of the
second driving unit353 is fixed to the
side plate304 of the
second driving plate351.
Alternatively, the
first arm3301 of the first driving
member333 is provided with a
first tooth3302, the
first arm3301 of the
second driving member353 is provided with a
second tooth3304, and the
first tooth3302 and the
second tooth3304 are respectively engaged with the

middle connecting assembly31 includes a
cover311 and a
gear assembly313, the
gear assembly313 is rotatably disposed on the
cover311, and the
gear assembly313 is respectively engaged with the first driving
member333 and the
second driving member353, and enables the first driving
member333 and the
second driving member353 to rotate synchronously toward or away from each other.
Alternatively, the
gear assembly313 includes a
first gear3101 and a
second gear3102 engaged with the
first gear3101, and the
first gear3101 and the
second gear3102 are respectively rotatably provided on one side of the
cover311; the
first tooth3302 of the

When the
foldable display device100 is folded or unfolded, the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second driving mechanism35 rotate around their respective rotation axes in a facing direction or in an opposite direction, so as to drive the
first support37 and the
second support39 to rotate in a facing direction or in an opposite direction relative to the
middle connection assembly31, and meanwhile, under the action of the
first tooth3302 of the
first driving mechanism33 and the
second tooth3304 of the
second driving mechanism35, the
first gear3101 and the
second gear3102 rotate in a facing direction or in an opposite direction, and the
first gear3101 and the
second gear3102 are engaged with each other or engaged with each other through the
third gear set3103, so that the
first gear3101 and the
second gear3102 rotate in a facing direction or in an opposite direction.

a first support member slidably coupled to the first drive mechanism for supporting a first portion of the flexible member and a second support member slidably coupled to the second drive mechanism for supporting a second portion of the flexible member;
when the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism rotate in opposite directions or in opposite directions, the first supporting piece and the second supporting piece are driven to rotate in opposite directions or in opposite directions together, and the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism respectively move in the direction away from or towards the middle connecting assembly.
2. A bendable display device according to claim 1, wherein the folding mechanism supports the third portion of the flexible member to bend at a predetermined radius of curvature when the bendable display device is bent.
3. A flexible display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said first drive mechanism and said second drive mechanism are rotatably connected to opposite sides of said central linkage assembly by gear engagement.

A bendable display device according to claim 3, wherein the first driving mechanism comprises a first driving plate and a first driving member fixed to one end of the first driving plate, the first driving plate being slidably provided with a first supporting member; the second driving mechanism comprises a second driving plate and a second driving piece fixed at one end of the second driving plate, a second supporting piece is arranged on the second driving plate in a sliding mode, and the first driving piece and the second driving piece are respectively meshed with the middle connecting assembly and are rotatably connected to two opposite sides of the middle connecting assembly.

A bendable display device according to claim 4, wherein the bendable display device has a bending axis, the first and second supports are rotatably connected to the middle connection assembly, respectively, and the rotation axes of the first and second supports are far from the bending axis compared to the rotation axes of the first and second driving members.

A bendable display device according to claim 5, wherein the middle connection assembly comprises a cover body and a gear assembly rotatably disposed on the cover body, the gear assembly respectively meshing with the first driving member and the second driving member and rotating the first driving member and the second driving member synchronously toward or away from each other.

A bendable display apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the gear assembly comprises a first gear and a second gear engaged with the first gear, the first gear and the second gear being respectively rotatably provided at one side of the cover; the first driving piece is provided with first teeth, and the first teeth are meshed with the first gear; the second driving part is provided with second teeth, and the second teeth are meshed with a second gear so that the first driving part and the second driving part synchronously rotate in the opposite direction or in the opposite direction.
8. A bendable display apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the gear assembly further comprises a third gear set comprising an even number of gears that are sequentially meshed and respectively rotatably connected, the first gear being meshed with the second gear through the third gear set.

A bendable display device according to claim 6, wherein the middle connecting assembly further comprises a compensation assembly fixed to the cover, the first support and the second support are respectively rotatably connected to opposite sides of the compensation assembly, and when the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism rotate towards or away from each other, the compensation assembly is linked to drive the first support and the second support to move towards or away from the middle connecting assembly.

12. A bendable display device according to claim 11, wherein the groove is an arc-shaped groove having an arc center closer to the bending axis than the arc-shaped groove.
13. A bendable display device according to claim 12, wherein the groove comprises a first slot and a second slot, the first slider slidably disposed in the first slot and the second slider slidably disposed in the second slot.
14. A bendable display device according to claim 13, wherein the first slider is provided with a first protrusion and the second slider is provided with a second protrusion; the first protrusion and the second protrusion are respectively arranged in the first slot position and the second slot position in a sliding mode.
15. A bendable display device according to claim 4, wherein the first driving board comprises a first sliding slot, the second driving board comprises a second sliding slot, the first support is slidably disposed in the first sliding slot, and the second support is slidably disposed in the second sliding slot.
