Abstract

Cpds. of formula (I): (where R1 = H, Et; R2 = H, Me or phenyl; R3 = pyrrolidino, morpholino, isopropylamin, dimethylamino, cyclohexyloxy; n = 0 or 1) are prepd. from semicarbazides of formula: (where R3 and n are as in I). The cpds. I are hypotensive and analgesic agents, the analgesic dose in mice being about 100 mg/kg orally and the hypotensive dose 0.5-2 mg/kg i.v. in rats. Cpds. (II) are intermediates prepared by reaction of the corresponding 1-amino-piperazines with KCNO. II are converted into I by reaction with the appropriate beta-dicarboxylic esters in presence of sodium ethoxide or sodium hydride.
