Abstract
The invention relates to a method and related device for targeting a region of interest of biological tissue of a patient, the region of interest being placed in a magnetic field, wherein the method includes: simultaneously acquiring a series of images of a region of interest of a patient using a medical imaging system, and a series of spatial distribution maps of the magnetic field in said region; A) estimating, from the acquired images, the movement of said region; quantifying the quality of the estimated movement, which includes the following sub-steps: B) modeling, from the estimated movement, maps of the distribution of the magnetic field; and C) determining a criterion, based on the modeled and acquired distribution maps of the magnetic field, for quantifying the quality of the estimated movement.
