Abstract

1443826 Seat upholstery PIRELLI Ltd 16 April 1974 [25 April 1973] 19668/73 Heading A4M A resilient seating platform comprises a sheet of elastic material 16 with a free edge for securing directly to a seat frame member 12 and a sheet of non-elastic material 18, e.g. canvas, secured by stitching 20 to the edge of the elastic sheet 16 opposite the free edge, the non-elastic sheet 18 having a free edge for securing directly to an opposite frame member 10 and extending generally parallel to the stitched edge of the elastic sheet 16. An end portion 22 of the non-elastic sheet 18 overlies the elastic sheet 16 and may be secured to the frame member 12. The elastic sheet 16 may have a plurality of spaced slits 24, 24a, 24b.
