Abstract

1497861 Cattle grids B MANLEY 29 Nov 1974 [29 Nov 1973] 55310/73 Heading E1G A movable cattle grid is provided with detachably-mounted wheels 20 and comprises a plurality of spaced parallel grid members, e.g. tubes 17, arranged to be supported above the ground, as by trapezium-shaped side frames 10 providing a ramped grid. The grid shown has at one end a socket 30 for a tow bar 35, the tow bar incorporating a lifting jack 40. Alternatively the grid may be coupled to the lift linkage of a tractor. Each detachable wheel 20 is carried by a cranked arm 27, Fig. 3 (not shown) having parallel to the wheel axle (21) a mounting pin (23) for insertion in a grid socket 24, the arm 27 then being swung to raise the grid until it can be engaged under a hook 26.
