201,645. Thompson, G. F. Gilbey-. May 3, 1922. Golf-practising appliances.-A golf-practising device comprises a ball slidably anchored to a flight-braking track secured to the ground. The track comprises two slightly divergent wires or cords A, A<1> anchored to the ground at one end end secured to stakes B, B<1> at the other. The ball E is attached to a cord D slidably connected to a transverse cord C which constitutes a slidable connection between the track wires. The ball is placed at the narrow end of the track, and when struck flies forward in the direction of the track until the cord C becomes taut and brings it to rest. The character of the stroke, whether pulled or sliced, is indicated by the position of the ball after the stroke.
