An ottoman storage unit 1 comprising upper 2 and lower 3 hollow cylindrical portions containing foam inserts 5, 6 respectively, the upper 2 and lower 3 portions fasten together by means of a zipper 7 and form a cavity therein for the storage of articles preferably two pillows 4. Any additional room is preferable used for further bed linen. The ottoman is therefore multifunctional as it can be used as a foot-rest and also as storage for bed linen.

Background of the Invention

Inspiration for Idea The inventor found a need for extra storage space for pillows and other spare! guest bed linen. Current storage methods are often impractical, inconvenient or inaccessible (or a combination of all three). For example, storing pillows in a loft or attic space is not ideal as retrieving them is often very time consuming also the, often damp, conditions are not suitable for clean pillows and bed linen. Another household space for stonng linen, and less often pi]lows, is an airing cupboard. Again this space is not suitable for storing pillows as space is at a premium and is often taken up with clothes. Thus the concept of a footstool which stores pillows andlor linen was invented.

Various forms and designs of footstools are readily available however, to my knowledge, no design exists which encompasses a footstool and pillow storage.

The footstool/pillow assembly according to the present invention departs from the conventional footstool concepts and designs, and in doing so, provides assembly primanly developed for the purpose of providing a seated person somewhere to rest their legs. a

Description of the Preferred Embodiments
