Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a loaded-line phase shifter which provides excellent matching covering a broad band without any complex adjustment, by forming a projection of width equal nearly to a main line from a connection point between the main line and stub in the opposite direction to the stub. CONSTITUTION:To main line 1 of strip line structure, stubs 11 and 11' connecting to diodes 6 grounding a transmission line at their one-side terminals in terminal of the high-frequency band are connected at intervals of approximate 1/4 wavelength. From connection points of stubs, projection 14 of width nearly equal to or narrower than that of line 1 are formed in the opposite direction to the lead-out direction of stubs. Stubs 11 and 11' constitute a 1/4-wavelength transformer and at T-shaped branch part at connection points of line 1, the width of stubs is narrower than that of the main line, so that inductance L in series to the main line will be realized. Projections 14 serve as capacities C in parallel to main line 1, and consequently an influence of L is nearly canceled, so that an excellent matching state can be obtained.
