Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having improved hardness and effective to the reduction in the size and the weight of the molded product without lowering the vibration insulating characteristics, by adding specific amounts of an oil-modified phenolic resin and a phenolic resin hardener to rubber, and curing the composition.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. of natural rubber, a diene rubber, a diene copolymer rubber, or their blend, is compounded with (B) 0.5W25pts.wt. of an oil- modified phenolic resin having a modification degree of ≥20%, e.g. a tall oil- modified phenolic resin having a modification degree of ≥30% or a cashew oil- modified phenolic resin having a modification degree of ≥40%, and (C) 2W30wt%, based on the (B) component, of a phenolic resin hardener (e.g. hexamethylenetetramine, etc.), and the compound is cured.
USE: A part of antomobile engine amount.
