To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, OTIS J. WISE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Charleston, in the county of Kanawha, State of WVest Virginia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Bed- Tables; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as Will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to a folding bed table.

An object of the invention resides in the provision of a table which may be conveniently swung over a bed so as to be accessible by the occupant thereof.

A further object of the invention resides in so constructing the device that it may be disassembled or swung out of position when not in use.

With these and other objects in view, such as will appear as the description progresses, my invention comprises the combination and arrangement of parts as set forth in and falling within the scope of the appended claim.

13 is slightly greater than the radius of the tray so that the tray, when the arms are folded, will be free from the

7. Should it be desired to move the tray, entirely, however, this may be accomplished by lifting the

In the embodiment of the invention shown in Figs. 5 and 6 of the drawing, I have provided a pair of

plates

30 which are adapted to be secured to a wall in spaced relation by means of screws passing through

37. This form of my device is particularly adapted to be secured to the wall between two beds so that it may be swung over either one or the other of the beds. By providing the

35 with a clutch member the support may be held in a horizontal position or may be swung into a vertical position, the latter position being that which it will occupy when the device is folded against the wall. 1

From the foregoing description it will be sen that I have provided a folding bed table which may be swung into a position over the bed when desired and folded and swung out of position when not in use.

WVhile I have illustrated and described a.

particular embodiment of my invention I do not wish to be limited to that particular embodiment as it is obvious that numerous changes may be made within the details of construction thereof without in any way departing from the spirit of the invention or exceeding the scope of the appended claim.

What I claim is In a bed table, the combination with a cylindrical bracket member; of spaced clamps carried bysaid bracket member and each comprising a pair of arms each having one end journaled on the bracket member and a gripping jaw at the other end, a screw passing through one of the arms and engaging the other in each pair, each pair of said arms having their journaled ends interlocked and slidable on the bracket member, caps on the ends of the bracket member to retain the clamps thereon, a plurality of folding arms mounted on the bracket mem bar, and a tray supported on the free end of the outermost arm.
