• An apparatus for the vending of merchandise comprising a series of merchandise holders arranged parallel to each other and spaced from each other and from the walls or partitions of the store to provide a single circuitous pathway for customers, a structure adjacent the exit providing a checking and settlement station, and a lighting system therefor comprising lighting fixtures extending transversely of said holders adjacent their ends, one of said fixtures having branches extending over the settlement desk and lamps on said branches and on the fixtures above the center line of the parallel parts of the pathway, substantially as set forth.
• An apparatus for the vending of men chandis-e comprising a series of merchandise holders arranged parallel to each other and spaced from each other and from the Walls or partitions of the store to provide a pathway for customers, and :1 lighting system therefor comprising lighting fixtures extending transversely of said holders adjacent their ends and lumps on the fixtures midway of the parallel parts of the pathway, substantially as set forth.
