Referring now to the drawings in
detail numeral10 of
FIG. 1is a Boomerang Flying Disc. Numeral 11 of
FIG. 2is the bottom view of Boomerang Flying Disc 10. Numeral 12 of
FIG. 3is the dissection view of Boomerang Flying Disc 10. Numeral 13 of
FIGS. 1, 4 and 5 is a rudder. Numeral 14 of
FIG. 4is a thumb screw. Numeral 15 of
FIGS. 1, 3, 4 and 5 is body of
rudder13. Numeral 16 of
FIGS. 1, 3, 4 and 5 is angled side-wing of
rudder13. Numeral 17 of
FIGS. 1, 3, 4 and 5 is threaded head-nut of
rudder13. Numeral 18 of
FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is threaded pin of
thumb screw14. Numeral 19 of
FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 is cap of
thumb screw14. Numeral 20 of 2, 3, 4 and 5 is spring coil. Numeral 21 of
FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is dome-shaped plate of Boomerang Flying Disc 10. Numeral 22 of
FIGS. 2, 3, 4 and 5 is central hole of dome-
shaped plate21 of Boomerang Flying Disc 10. The way to assemble a Boomerang Flying Disc 10 is as follows: First step is to insert threaded
pin18 of
thumb screw14 into
spring coil20. The second step is to insert threaded
pin18 from the
bottom11 of Boomerang Flying Disc 10 into the
central hole22 of dome-
shaped plate21. The third step is to screw threaded
pin18 of
thumb screw14 into threaded head-
nut17 of
rudder13 to fasten
rudder13 onto doom-
shaped plate21.
FIG. 5demonstrates another way to assemble Boomerang Flying Disc 10. Insert threaded
pin18 of
thumb screw14 from the
bottom11 of doomed-
shaped plate21 into the
central hole22 of doomed-
shaped plate21. Threaded
pin18 then passes through
spring coil20 and screwed into threaded head-
nut17 of
rudder13 to fasten
rudder13 into doomed-
shaped plate21. The tension of
spring coil20 should be adjusted so that when Boomerang Flying Disc 10 is thrown and the doom-
shaped plate21 is spinning, the tension of
spring coil20 keeps
rudder13 at the tail side of flying doom-
shaped plate21. The tension of
spring coil19 can be adjusted by
screwing thumb screw14 clockwise or counter clockwise. The mechanism of action of Boomerang Flying Disc 10 is that when there is a certain degree of friction between doom-
shaped plate21 and
rudder13, the force of the front oncoming wind will counterbalance the spinning force of doom-
shaped plate21 and blow the angled side-
wing16 of
rudder13 to the tail side of flying doom-
shaped plate21 to guide doom-
shaped plate21 to fly in a circular route. If there is no friction between
rudder13 and doom-
shaped plate21, then
rudder13 will not guide the flying route of doom-
shaped plate21. On the other hand if the tension of
spring coil19 is too
high rudder13 will spin simultaneously with flying doom-
shaped plate21 at the same speed and
rudder13 will not guide the flying route of doom-
shaped plate21. Therefore the tension of
spring coil19 should be adjusted to the amount that allows the front oncoming wind to blow angled side-
wing16 to the tail side of doom-
shaped plate21 while doom-
shaped plate21 is flying and spinning in order for angled side-
wing16 to guide flying doom-
shaped plate21 to fly a circular route. The tension of
spring coil20 should be high for a strong player because the stronger player throws and spins Boomerang Flying Disc 10 with more force. The tension of
spring coil14 should be low for a weak player because the weak player throws and spins Boomerang Flying Disc 10 with less force. The tension of
spring coil20 should be high for a strong front oncoming wind and low for a weak front oncoming wind. Rudder 13 can be turned upside down to change the direction of angled side-
wing16 in order to change the direction of the circular flight route. A player of Boomerang Flying Disc 10 has to practice to master the skill to play Boomerang Flying Disc 10 just like a boomerang player has to practice to throw a boomerang to become an expert boomer player. An alternative to
spring coil20 is a U-shaped spring plate which is fenestrated to allow passage of threaded
pin18. The fenestration can be a hole on each side of the spring plate or in the center of the spring plate.
