Kingdom Hearts III is a RPG videogame produced by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the sequel to the 2002 video game Kingdom Hearts and its 2006 sequel Kingdom Hearts II and the final chapter of the Dark Seeker saga. It was released on January 25, 2019.

Summary[]

The game, like its predecessors, features elements from many Disney movies, and includes a "world" based on Pirates of the Caribbean called "The Caribbean", previously known as "Port Royal" in Kingdom Hearts II. The protagonist Sora and his allies, classic Disney characters Donald Duck and Goofy, visit the world and team up with Captain Jack Sparrow, who is trapped inside Davy Jones' Locker and is ready to escape from that estate of purgatory for a great battle. The game adapts part of the story of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, while its predecessor adapted part of The Curse of the Black Pearl. The story also includes elements unique to the plot of the Kingdom Hearts series, such as an infestation of "Heartless" monsters, and the return of Luxord, a member of the game's antagonistic Organization XIII, who seeks out the Master of Masters's Black Box believed to be hidden in the world.[1] Additionally, in the game's version of the film, the Kraken is still alive and plays a role in the game's version of the Battle of Calypso's maelstrom.
