Fog

Fog is a weather condition in Generation IV and some spinoff games. In Generation V, fog is aesthetic.

Effect[]

In the Generation IV games, Fog has the following effects:

• Lowers the accuracy of all Pokémon.
• Doubles the power of Weather Ball.
• Halves the power of Solar Beam.
• Moonlight, Morning Sun and Synthesis only recover ¼ of max HP.

Outside of battle, it also causes Honey and Sweet Scent to fail.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series[]

In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, Fog has two effects:

• Electric-type moves do 50% less damage.
• Castform transforms into its Rainy form.

Pokémon GO[]

In Pokémon GO, fog causes Ghost and Dark types appear more often, and moves of both types are also boosted.
