Alcalá de Henares is a city in the Community of Madrid, Spain. It is 30 kilometres (19 miles) from Madrid. It has about 200,000 people. There is a university. Miguel de Cervantes, an important Spanish writer, the author of the "Don Quixote", was born there.

The flag of Alcalá de Henares (Spanish: Bandera de Alcalá de Henares) is colored red. It has a coat of arms in the center. The emblem has a diameter of three-quarters the width of the center. The ratio of the flag is 2:3.[2]
