An Avenger is a Confederate fighter craft. It could make the transition between space and planetary environments. It featured prominently during the Guild Wars and is the counterpart to the Kel-Morian Hellhound.^[1]

The Avenger fired heat-seeking missiles at ground targets and was also capable of engaging air targets. It was used to escort troopships.^[1]

After the Guild Wars, the Wraith began to replace the Avenger as the Confederacy's primary fighter.^[2]
