Ravasaurs
Ravasaurs are primal zerg lifeforms that attack with acid spits, which they generate through parotid glands.[1]
Game Unit[]
Heart of the Swarm[]
Ravasaurs appear as enemies on Zerus in the Heart of the Swarm mission Supreme. After Sarah Kerrigan defeats Yagdra and Kraith she will have to use leaping strike to get on a platform to gather the fourth xel'naga relic. On the first platform the player can see a ravasaur.
Kerrigan can again encounter a ravasaur when she covers the final distance to kill Slivan. Five or six of them stand on high ground where Kerrigan can't reach them. She will have to use leaping strike to get to them and take them out, otherwise her primal zerg army will only come to the other side damaged.
On hard/brutal difficulty they will also spawn as minions during the boss fight with Slivan, and later during the boss fight with Zurvan.
When killing the ravasaurs on the high ground waiting to ambush the player on normal difficulty they will not respawn. When killed on hard or brutal difficulty they will respawn after a short time.
Co-op Missions[]
Ravasaurs are available to Dehaka in Co-op Missions. They are evolved from primal zerglings.[2] A percentage of damage dealt heals the ravasaur.[3]

Dissolving Acid
Ravasaurs deal +15 damage to armored targets.

Trivia[]
- The ravasaur uses the same base model as the primal zergling, primal ultralisk, tyrannozor, and Brakk.
- The ravasaur unit profile in Heart of the Swarm states that it can attack ground and air, even though volatile projection only targets ground units.
- Ravasaur is also the name for a species of large raptor in World of Warcraft.
