Sawshark
The Sawshark is an enemy appearing in Star Fox Zero.
Description[]
Sawsharks have a round body and a single large saw-like fin that they can use as a sword. They can be either red or grey, and are very big in the former case.
Combat[]
Sawsharks attack by charging at their target, positioning themselves so that their blade is on one side of their body (never pointed ahead of or behind them). Shooting any part of their body, fin included, depletes from the creature's health.
Appearances[]
Sawsharks make their debut in their big form in the very first stage of the game, which, occurring in the level Enter Star Fox on Corneria, is the stage Hurry To Corneria City. Their smaller form first appears in the first stage of Blasting Through (in Sector Omega), Shortcut to Venom. They appear again in their larger size in the first stage of the second Corneria chapter, Hidden Plans, which is the penultimate stage of the game. No other stage in the game features them.
Origins[]
Sawsharks mostly likely take the name from a real species of fish that are found in many areas around the world, most commonly in waters from the Indian Ocean to the southern Pacific Ocean.
